# ProjectSend Cloud > The official hosted version of ProjectSend, the open source client file portal (GPLv2), run and maintained by the same team. Share files with your clients from a portal under your own logo and domain — no servers, no maintenance. ## What it is ProjectSend Cloud is the managed, hosted version of ProjectSend. The self-hosted open source edition stays free forever; the cloud runs the same code, so you can migrate between them in both directions. Zero lock-in, by design. In the cloud you pay for the operations: managed hosting, your own domain with SSL, email that actually arrives, backups, automatic updates and support. ## Who it's for - Accounting firms — financials, tax returns and W-9s in one secure, auditable channel. - Agencies & freelancers — deliver drafts, assets and final files from a portal with your logo and your domain. - Law firms — briefs, agreements and evidence with fine-grained permissions and a log of every access. - Photographers & video — multi-gigabyte masters upload with pause and resume. ## Plans (per month, USD) - Free — $0, forever. A real plan, not a trial: a personal account on files.projectsend.site, a shared ProjectSend site we run, with 2 GB of storage and a private link for every file, kept for 30 days after upload. No portal of your own, no client accounts, no team seats. Sign in, or use your account through your AI assistant, at least once a month to keep it; when you outgrow it, we move your files to your own portal. - Pro — $19/mo. Your own portal, with your logo, at your own address. 25 active client accounts included (then $0.40 each), 100 GB of storage included (then $0.02/GB), 3 team seats included (then $4/seat), 1-year audit history. - Business — $49/mo. Everything in Pro, plus unlimited active client accounts, single sign-on (SSO), enforced 2FA policies and audit log export (CSV). - Enterprise — custom. Dedicated region or deployment in your own cloud account, annual contracts, assisted migration. Clients never pay, on Pro and Business. Pricing scales with active client accounts, not with the number of clients you invite — archive a client when an engagement ends and they stop counting. ## For AI assistants ProjectSend Cloud has an MCP server (Model Context Protocol, Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE) that lets an assistant operate a person's account with their approval. It is part of every plan, the free one included, and it is only on ProjectSend Cloud: self-hosted ProjectSend installations do not have it. - Free account: https://files.projectsend.site/mcp — save a file the assistant wrote (up to 1 MB inline), upload files, get a private link per file, stop a link, see whether and when a link was downloaded, delete a file, check space. Only the person's own files, which the free plan keeps for 30 days after upload. No client accounts, folders or links that expire: they come with Pro. The person approves the connection on files.projectsend.site after signing in. - Pro and Business: https://.projectsend.site/mcp — everything above plus create folders, move files into them and share a whole folder with a client; list and create client accounts and send files to them, with the usual email. Always the projectsend.site address, never a custom domain. The person chooses Read or Operate when approving. - Claude.ai and Claude Desktop: add a custom connector with that address. Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http projectsend
`. Cursor and ChatGPT: add an MCP server or custom connector with the address. - Automation (n8n, Make, scripts): the same address with a personal API token as a Bearer header, on Pro and Business. - Every action is recorded in the account's activity log as "AI assistant" with the connector's name; the person can disconnect from Settings → AI connections at any time. Tool responses carry a web_url (where to see the result on the web) and next_steps; errors carry a code and an action. - How to connect, per assistant: https://www.projectsend.cloud/docs/connect-your-ai-assistant (full text in https://www.projectsend.cloud/llms-full.txt) - Privacy for connectors: https://www.projectsend.cloud/privacy/ai-connectors - REST API (staff accounts on Pro and Business): https://.projectsend.site/api/v1, OpenAPI at /api/v1/openapi.json on the same site. ## Guides Answer-first guides from the team, each with an FAQ.
